Description
This print is a compilation of digital elements and photographs symbolizing the soul of the Grand Ole Opry and its continuance despite the recent flooding of the Grand Ole Opry house.
Having visited Nashville just a short two weeks prior to the massive flooding, I was very emotional about all of the images of devastation I was seeing online, especially the views of the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland Hotel. We had spent considerable time during our visit at those two locations and had made several new friends among the Gaylord Stars, in fact.
Nashville is a wonderful city and her citizens are among the nicest people I have met in all of my travels throughout North America. Working on this piece was good therapy for the emotional upheaval I felt viewing the flooding on TV and hearing and reading about all of the stories...
One year later, our family retuurned to Nashville, and toured the Grand Ole Opry house... it's absolutely stunning now! :-)
